The seven actions and strategies outlined below are designed to map the path to the vision above. These actions and strategies were developed in direct response to the themes that emerged from community engagement and the systems audit.
Each action includes background and an overview of the related themes. Each action also contains a set of strategies that can help move Detroit closer to the broader vision. Tools, guidance, and examples of similar strategies in other communities are offered under each strategy. These examples are meant to serve as a reference for Detroit during the co-design phase and should not be taken as wholesale solutions, but instead as examples for consideration in developing implementation plans tailored to Detroiters’ strengths and needs.
